I was born in San Antonio, Texas. My mother and grandmother were both artists. I began painting as a child under their direction and knew early on that art would always be a big part of my life. After working in graphic design for more than 16 years, I picked up a brush again in 2007 with the constant encouragement of my sister and several good friends
