Color Negatives Photographer- Koh Sang Woo, 1978


Koh Sang Woo was born in Seoul and currently resides in New York, USA. He creates beautiful mesmerizing photographs of human figures which adopts the approach of documentation, painting and traditional photography technique. He uses a blue tone in photographs that captures his subjects using negative film. He uses props such as flowers and butterflies which makes his color negative photography more vivid and interesting. He also uses water based paint with nice brushstrokes across the body of human figures to make the photographs more eye catching.
He had many international exhibitions; “Media Media” is his most recent exhibition, which was at Queens Museum New York. He also exhibited his works in “Korean Art Show” in New York. His first solo exhibition will be in the UK which is named “True Stories”
