Where to Try Extreme Tourism in Ukraine?

However, a popular trend of recent years is to spend leisure time actively. Ukraine has also many solutions for those who need more adrenaline in their veins.

Bungee jumping

Do you know what is rope jumping? So, bungee jumping is almost the same, but you jump upside down from bridges or special cranes. It is a rather popular activity in Ukraine for real fans of extreme. In Ukraine, you can perform your first bungee jump right in the top cities like Odessa and Kyiv. However, the height of the cranes to jump from is not large. The real boost of adrenaline can be experienced by jumping from the bridge in Kamianets-Podilskyi. The height reaches 54 meters making it the highest bridge in Ukraine. The other rather interesting jumping solutions are located in Zaporizhia, Dnipro and Pervomaisk.   

Rafting

This extreme activity is also available in Ukraine. While, rafting is usually held on the mountain rivers, in this country there are many rivers with natural cataracts providing even better rafting experience for adrenaline-addicted people. The extreme rafting is available on the Cheremosh River in the Carpathian Mountains. You can buy rafting tours to this place online or in different traveling agencies in Ukraine.

The Southern Bug River offers slighter cataracts, but still not rather extreme. They are located on the territory of the National Nature Park Bugskiy Gard in the settlement of Myhia in Mykolaiv region.

If you want to combine rafting and relaxing, you should do to the Dniester River.

Parachuting

Haven’t you heard about skydiving? It is impossible, because nowadays it is a kind of sports. However, even the professional skydivers began their career with parachute jumping. To perform a jump with a parachute you do not need special skills. A short training will be enough to prepare a beginner for jump from 800-meters height.

Actually, there are many place to perform such a jump. As a rule, these are the active air clubs, which train pilots of small aircrafts.

Not far from Kyiv there is the airfield “Borodyanka”. The jumps are organized by the aviation association on weekends in appropriate weather conditions. The season usually begins on April and ends on November.

Chernihiv aviation sports club also arranges parachute jumps every weekend. The location is about 70 km from Kiev and offers lower prices.

Such cities as Lviv, Odessa, and Kharkiv also offer parachuting for the citizens and their guests. The average price of a jump is 800 UAH.
If these sports activities are not enough for you, Ukraine provides almost all other extreme sports solutions including rock climbing, windsurfing, paragliding, kitesurfing, skiing, snowboarding and many others.
