Edmond Aman-Jean (19th Century Painter)

Edmond Aman-Jean was a French Symbolist painter and was born on 13 Jan 1858 in Paris. He was a famous French Artist who inspired many artist and painters. He studied with many famous artists such as Henri Lehmann. He later became a teacher and taught arts and his students included Charles Sydney Hopkinson, Theodor Pallady and Nicolae Tonitza.
Just like many of his generation artists Edmond was very much influenced by new perspectives of Japanese arts and he also showed interest in Pre-Raphaelite.
He died unmarried on 23 Jan 1936.
