Paul Van Ginki | Canadian Figurative Painter | 1960

Paul Van Ginki was born in 1960 and is a Canadian Painter, Paul later moved to Calgary with his family in the year 1973. He then moved to Vancouver in 1996 to search for new simulation, life and some change. But he returned to Calgary in 2001. He began his art studies at the Alberta College of Art in Calgary, and then did his masters in Fine Arts from Syracuse University in New York. He there worked as an illustrator for near about six years, from then he has been working as a fine artist and specializes in western themes since 1990. His art works and personality has been inspired by many specialists such as Diego Velazquez, Frans Hals, John Singer Sargent etc.
He has travelled all around the world, which includes places such as Australia, Mexico, Italy, Santa Fe and New York, he gained a lots of knowledge and expertise while travelling these places. He has also attended many reference photo shoots in different part of Southwest. Paul is an award winning artist and have won many awards for his art works which includes his work including 4 Calgary Exhibition Stampede Best of Show Awards.  He also received award as one of the top artist’s form west working today. In the 2004 March issue of Southwest Art Magazine he had cover featured article. He also got freatured in November 2005 issue of Appaloosa Journal magazine. He is one of the most renowned member of the Oil Painters of America.
