Expressions and Gestures in Paintings

Giotto di Bondone (1267-1137) were considered as the founder of modern painting in the western art as he broke away from the stereotyped form of Byzantine tradition.
The world saw a range of naturalism in a new kind of pictorial drama happening in the art of painting. The series of Frescoes he painted there illustrate the life of the Virgin Mary and the Life of Christ.
Giotto was born in 1287 in Florence to a farmer family. He died on 8th January, 1337 in Florence Leaving leaving the posterity to follow his footsteps.
